Here's the latest edition of the Bar Hill News;

And here's this months editorial column;

"What a busy month! So many things going on in the village, it’s good to see all the groups that have been dormant during lockdown opening back up.

This month we also have exciting news about the Community Hub which will open in September.

Our own Charity Submission (Bar Hill Community Association) has now been submitted to the Charity Commission and we look forward to hearing their views over the next few weeks.

It was good to see people during the Litter Picking event, despite the interruption caused by the events on the village green. A brief review of the event is on Page 44.

Last month’s letter in relation to the air displays over the village has elicited quite a response! See the Letter on Page 4.

And this months’ Community Focus covers both Fur the Love of Dogs and the Olive Tree Bereavement Group (who submitted their own article to us). Please keep them coming, we love reading about all the local groups!

The Parish Council has provided an update on how people would prefer the money from the A14 project to be spent. See Page 46.

And finally, we have the report from the AGM of the Bar Hill Residents Association which was held last week. It is likely that a pot of money will be allocated for grants village organisations - watch this space! See Page 13."

Bar Hill News - July 2021 (Issue 625)

July's Bar Hill News is being delivered as we speak across the village and is available for digital download here [PDF].

Here
is the editorial for this issue;

"This month has been a busy month in Bar Hill as more and more groups have re-opened. The failure to end the restrictions in June has made things a lot harder, but (fingers crossed!) come this time next month the world will look a great deal more normal.

This month in the Bar Hill News we have an update from our Councillors in relation to the new equine crossing on Saxon Way, an update from the Cricket Club on their latest matches, the third in our series of walks, an update from Neighbourhood Watch, as well as some fantastic articles from Liz Dam.
Next month we can expect an update on the new charity (Bar Hill Community Association), there are a few more i’s to dot and t’s to cross but we are very close to submitting the application now. Fingers, once again, crossed!

I’m also hoping, with the number of scheduled events coming up, to return either the back page or inside page to a calendar of events for August.

Is there anything else you like (or don’t like)? Anything you’d like to see us write an article on as part of our community focus? Please email bhneditor@yahoo.com to let us know!

PS. The “Protect Your Pooch” poster (from Neighbourhood Watch) is available as a download if you’d like to print it yourself and put it up - https://bit.ly/3gJTtqG."
