- Litter Busting Day,
- The adoption of Viking Way (by the County Council),
- Bar Hill PTA Fun Run, and
- A stray black cat in Foxhollow was successfully reunited with its owners
As well as the usual updates from the Cricket Club, Happy Hours, Tennis Club, and the South Cambridgeshire Conservative Association.
This issue included this poem (on the subject of the litter picking day);
"And did those feet in recent times
Walk around Bar Hill's village green
To scent the perfume of the limes
Then tread in piles where dogs have been?
You'll find newspapers by the score
Dumped in the hedge, not through your door.
Let's tidy up and make it grandIn Bar Hill's green and pleasant land.
Bring me my sack, my pointed cane,
Springtime has come around again.
We pick up junk, tin cans and glass,
That litters paths, hedgerows and grass.
We ask, good people, do be kind,No more your rubbish leave behind.
On Picking Day give us a handIn Bar Hill's green and pleasant land!"
